ACUTE CARE VISITS

As primary care physicians, we can provide "Acute Care Visits" or healthcare encounter that focuses on addressing a sudden and severe medical issue or condition. Acute care typically deals with the diagnosis and treatment of short-term, urgent health problems, such as injuries, infections, or exacerbations of chronic illnesses.

At HEALTH 210 Primary Care Clinic, we have same day appointments available to avoid excessive ER costs and wait times. Examples of conditions that can be managed during an Acute visit:

Upper Respiratory Infections: Common colds, sinus infections, and mild cases of bronchitis.

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Mild UTIs without severe symptoms or complications can be treated with antibiotics in a clinic setting.

Skin Infections: Many skin infections, such as minor abscesses, cellulitis, and impetigo, can be managed in clinics through wound care and antibiotics.

Minor Injuries: Sprains, strains, minor fractures, and lacerations that do not require surgery may be treated in clinics.

Gastrointestinal Issues: Acute gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and mild cases of food poisoning can often be managed in clinics to ensure hydration and symptom relief.

Allergies and Asthma Exacerbations: Acute allergy symptoms and mild asthma exacerbations can be treated in clinics with medications and interventions like nebulizers.

Migraines: Acute migraine attacks can be managed in clinics with pain relief medications and lifestyle advice.

Ear Infections: Mild cases of otitis media (ear infections) can be diagnosed and treated in clinics with antibiotics.

Minor Eye Injuries and Infections: Simple eye injuries and mild eye infections can be managed in eye clinics or primary care settings.
